Remember, China is a big place. Hangzhaou is a resident show, so that really shouldn't count. Some of the others may be delayed (as Toruk was delayed). The only show with released dates right now is Kooza, so we'll have to wait and see.

Very true, that being said though its not a very large country in the same way the US is. Much of china is still fairly poor apart from a selection of large cities, and even within these cities, the average person isn't that wealthy. I was just suprised that Cirque (with its past of having been to maybe 2-3 chinese cities) is suddenly bringing GC shows to 6+ large cities and an arena show to presumably a few others all within such a small time span. We'll just have to wait and see which sub-markets they try to tap into.

Looks like amaluna is headed for South America. Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil are first up.

Wow. Never would have seen Kooza in mainland China coming in a million years. How cool! Would love to see a big top go back to Hong Kong again.

Well it appears ticketek.com.au has a waitlist page for the next Cirque tour.  I'm guessing Toruk as it seems too soon for another big top show.

They have waitlists all the time. Besides we've know it's been coming to Aus for many months now.

Normally they have a specific show in there - as they did with Ovo and Totem.  It's ben a while since I've seen a generic Cirque waitlist.  Thus I thought I'd ask as we may have been getting another second tier city tour like Quidam's farewell tour.

Considering its never played the major cities before (unlike Quidam), and the gap will be presumably 4-5 months between Kooza/Toruk vs only 3 months for Totem/Quidam's crossover it will most likely play the major cities (at least Syd, Melb and Brissy).

I've been subscribed to the generic Cirque waitlist for a few years now. It always existed, but the ad for it just doesn't show up on the ticketek homepage all the time. For example the adele waitlist was created many years before she toured here and it surfaced as an ad on the homepage when the NA/Europe dates were announced (ie still many months before the Aus leg was announced). My point is just that it isn't a very relaible source for if Cirque is coming or not.

edit: the Australian tour has been announced. All major Aus cities apart from Perth. Interesting that they're dark for half the week (mon to wed)

Sigh... Would it kill them to make the last NA tour a little longer? I mean, what, 5 out of 50 states are being visited? Not to mention leaving Canada out of the picture. Sighhhhh...

I had hopes that, before the closing announcement, that this was a stop-over on its way to China or some such place. So I expected a little more of a run here in the United States. Alas, no... guess it'll just interfere with CRYSTAL. And Corteo if they ever get that off the ground...

They've got six damn months to reset a market so I hope to hell Corteo was no excuse of theirs. I'm sure we both heard the same plans for China directly from a cast Member that China was on the market board for the show. Some of the recent arenas final closure cities have been less than flattering...
