OMG, great show! More later when I can collect my thoughts. Acts list posted above is right. Chair balancer is Rokardy. Banquine looks like troupe from Zed and Elvis.

That video of finale in the previous page (posted by Colton) is so much.......Cirque. So much Cirque du Soleil. It gives me goosebumps. I wish I could fly to Montreal right away.

Except for the music which just feels like background filler (much like ovo and a lot of amaluna) I am loving everything I've seen of this production. I'm surprised how props-heavy it is. I absolutely love the gigantic hand that the contortion act is staged on. Funny how much social media changes between premiers. I have been getting all my looks at the show from the hashtag #kurios on instagram... strange lack of official press releases now that the show has premiered. Was hoping for a strong facebook activity presence. It's so hit or miss with each shows press spokesperson.

La Nouba, Corteo, Delirium, Ovo, Quidam, Totem, Saltimbanco, Immortal, Amaluna.

Yikes! That's a LOT of videos..but honestly this show looks very good. The energy that the cast gives off is unbelievable, especially in the juggling video. I wish there was more footage of Rola Bola, but the plane transition looks very lovely. The music (granted, only hearing these small clips) sounds..ok. Not bad by any means, it just mostly does feel like background music. I do like the aerial straps and aerial bike songs so far though. Speaking of...Aerial Bike is ridiculously odd. I mean, it's new and looks pretty interesting, it's just a pretty odd but cool concept for an act. The acro net looks absolutely insane, trampolines on steroids. I like the idea of having the clown direct a giant flea circus. Flea circus' were actually pretty popular around the turn of the century

Banquine looks great. Love seeing them go out into the audience like that. Very smart and refreshing. Always impressed how versatile their performance is from show to show.

Loving what I'm seeing so far. It looks great! I definately like the twists they're giving some of the old style acrobatic routines. Is the acro net act basically what Mystere had in its first incarnation set to Caravana?

I agree about the music though. Its very just okay sounding. Quite frankly it all sounded the same in all of the clips.

Just finished watching through all the clips. Honestly, Kurios is giving me a lot of hope right now. It looks like a relatively strong offering from Cirque. The only thing that seems a little mediocre is possibly the music. It's not BAD per se, it's just rather generic. Most of the songs sound like up beat, Italian flavored, fast tempo songs that are pleasant to listen to but don't really add much else. Again, the music is not bad at all. It's miles ahead of things like Ovo and Zarkana. I definitely have some stand outs: Contortion, Aerial Bike, and Aerial Straps all have fairly catchy melodies and we haven't even heard all the music yet, like Chair Balancing, Rola Bola and a few others. Everything else looks very strong. A pretty diverse line up of acts and the steampunk theme really gives us some lovely set and costume designs. The mechanical hand becoming the contortion platform is just a beautifully bizarre idea, and it fits in this odd mechanical world. Needless to say..this show looks very impressive :) Cant wait to see more

The Pressroom of the official site now has photos of the acts up.

I love the martian characters hidden under the oversize rain coats to me. It feels very Twilight Zone meets H.P. Lovecraft...Aerial Bicycle seems a little misguided to me. I just don't get it. It's like it wants to be a trapeze or aerial hoop but the design of the bike limits a lot of possible movements...

The sheer number of props is massive. Almost every act seems to have its own custom piece. Not a bad thing but I'm worried that will go the Immortal route and a lot will be cut in hindsight of transportation and automation problems. That show lost the tree of life, the swinging rings set up, the floating animal heads, Michael in a hot air balloon and Michael sitting on a crescent moon, likely more not coming to mind.

La Nouba, Corteo, Delirium, Ovo, Quidam, Totem, Saltimbanco, Immortal, Amaluna.

Interesting that there' that lip on the edge of the stage/the centre is sunken in so much.

My understanding was that there's a rail system around that raised edge which can move the props around easier.

The Acro Net act looks really amazing. And so are the costumes and props. The music sounds OK to me, but it's not as good as I was hoping for. But to be fair, I've only heared some clips, so it might be better.

Anyone else having trouble accessing FX914's Kurios review? I click on it and it just brings me back here for some reason.

Interview with Michel Laprise: http://globalnews.ca/video/1347711/curious-for-kurios/

He mentions how a new act will be integrated into the show soon. I'm guessing it is Andrii Bondarenko's Handbalancing act (either as rotation or permanent - I think permanent as I think he says it will be in the second half - he goes into French when he says it so I'm guessing here).

I've been wondering what happened to Andrii. When I didn't see his hand balancing act in any press or official reports I thought he was part of the banquine act again but I couldn't recognize him or his distinct costume. Some great info in that interview. But if Laprise says he doesn't want conventional circus apparatus maybe there will be no canes. also there's already hand balancing on chairs. Can't wait to see!

In Montreal, we heard it was going to be a Diabolo act, to be integrated as primary in the second half of the show. But I'd much rather see hand balancing than a single diabolo act.

Diabolo could really fit well with this shows feel and line up but I hope they dig deep and bring something good. Quidams solo act is nearly identical with Ovo's. The original act of four girls was in the top couple acts that for me were the epitome of cirque. Discipline, artistry, costume emotion music and staging. It fell so far from grace with the conversion to arena's adult cast and then again with Dralions version.

Colton, I agree. You may fine Banquine now in other Cirque shows, but the staging, presentation and everything about Quidam's version will always be the gold standard for me. Same for Russian Bar in Alegria.

Diabolo would probably fit well in KURIOS, but, like Cyr Wheel, it's starting to become ubiquitous, and that's annoying.
