Eirini Tornesaki, Kurios' singer, published in June that the recording of Kurios album CD was taking place. I guess the album should be released at the end of fall.

Looks great! Is Andrii Bondarenko (banquine flier) the understudy for Rokardy? I've seen pictures of him on a few chairs and knew he was creating a handbalancing act, but it seems really premature for Rokardy to have left entirely. Or maybe it was an apprenticeship until Andrii was trained enough?

The thumbnail image for this article appears to be a traditional (non diabolo) yo yo act staged in Kurios.

Franco Dragone? I looked for him, but couldn't find him. What's the time code?

I knew I shouldn't have said Franco! There's a man in a black suit at 2:15 in the video at the center right that looks almost like him...

Guillermo Del Toro was at the premiere, you can see him in the video (0:58). Could you imagine a possible collaboration between him and cirque?

Yeah I couldn't believe my eyes. I was lucky enough to meet him, he is here for TIFF. I just hope that a show is in the works and not another movie!

Can't wait! (and crossing fingers it sounds very close to what I heard at Premiere in Montreal...)

Loving the leaked tracks and counting down the days until the CD comes out (and more importantly when Kurios comes to Boston!!!) If they let Laprise direct any more shows, I think we're looking at another golden era of Cirque (if they just scale back the grandeur of the set... even Crete's work was overly simple, yet profound)!

Cirque would be foolish not to allow Michel Laprise to sit in the Director's Chair again. KURIOS is phenomenal. (Going to see Amaluna this coming weekend. I really hope it's held up... I had such a good time with it at premiere...)

One of the musicians confirmed that they have already filmed the DVD for KURIOS. Such great news!

That's great but I feel they're getting behind on DVDs... Totem and OVO don't have theirs yet, and Cirque was getting so good at filming DVDs from Dralion onward (but then Alegria's came a bit late, so I guess this is understandable...)

If I remember correctly, OVO and Totem premiered during a time when Cirque thought they were over-saturating their DVD market. So, as a result, those two shows were never filmed (and likely never will be) for a DVD release.

It's a shame if Totem is never filmed. I think it's a great show. I don't really mind OVO not having a DVD, though.

Mungo: Cirque was working on Worlds Away 3D, so trying to film OVO and TOTEM during that time was considered too much for them at once. I'd hoped with the release of Amaluna and the adoption of Digital they'd go back and film OVO and Totem, but nothing so far :(

for the sake of show maturity I wish they had filmed the four and five year old Totem and Ovo before the months old Kurios. Isn't Kurios projected to get some revisions with the artistic director when he re-visits the show this month? It's a blessing and a curse when shows are filmed young. At least with Amaluna we got a good recording of vocal aerial hoops, tight wire (?) and unicycles before they were all removed and the floundering hula hoop act didn't make the DVD. But with Kooza we didn't get the matured character roles or the fantastic hula hoop act that replaced juggling.

La Nouba, Corteo, Delirium, Ovo, Quidam, Totem, Saltimbanco, Immortal, Amaluna.

@Colton, uh oh. I'm seeing Kurios when it comes to Seattle early next year and hopefully the revisions aren't too drastic, or hopefully it'll be for the better. I feel like shows just get worse and acts either cut or watered down after revisions.

Cirque Shows Seen: Alegria, Amaluna, Kooza, Kurios (3), Luzia (2), Michael Jackson: Immortal, Quidam, Varekai

The revisions are nearly un recognizable.. I saw the show at the Toronto premiere and then again in the beginning of this month. Barely anything changed. The musicians are on stage a little more and YOYO is now before the Hand Puppets which leads into Banquine.

So they're still doing Hand Puppets? Cirque removed the act from their site so I wondered if they'd nixed it. Didn't seem to be popular at Premiere, but, it was an interesting piece. I would have hated to see it go (shorten it up, yes, get rid of it, no...)

Still in, the act has really tightened up! The show really was worth seeing the second time. The acts are super fresh, except I really do hate the aerial bike.. wouldn't mind seeing it go, still iffy on Yo Yo. If there is one thing I wish I could add to this show, it would be a steam punk Flying act from OVO. Banquine is always impressive but Cirque has really shown it could shine in creativity and here is an opportunity for a classic act to be re routed.
