Hi, do you know how to walk on the bridge when you arrive in the big top..? It's just for tapis rouge tickets... or premium..?

It's cool, but it's a resource hog.

I was wondering if filming for the DVD has taken place. I'll be seeing Kurios in Chicago on August 22, and would hope it would be available by then. But that's probably wishful thinking.

Lot of good footage, upside down world looks amazing. Contortion too. I'm so happy the company hit gold with this show. I'm a banquine die-hard but the folksy, jazzy music, costumes and choreography rob it of its mystery, deeper emotion, elegance its cousins from Quidam, Zed, and Zarkana all mastered. It just feels kitschy. I care not to remember Elvis at all ;p

Upside down world looks so awesome! I definitely think Kurios is a show with very strong acts. I do agree about banquine though, and honestly I'm still not a fan of the music. I mean its okay but I just feel its so one note. It feels like all the songs are bouncy early 1900s French jazzy music with little to no variation.

I've heard different versions. I've heard that you can ask any of the characters who are mingling in the audience that you want to walk on the bridge and that anyone can ask. When I went to the show, I asked an usher about the bridge and he said it was for VIPs only.

I guess your best bet is to ask a character and not an usher.

@The Waiter, the dancing in banquine is cringe-worthy. Just as bad as that dance number in Ovo.

Cirque Shows Seen: Alegria, Amaluna, Kooza, Kurios (3), Luzia (2), Michael Jackson: Immortal, Quidam, Varekai

It's for Tapis Rouge and Behind the Scenes Tours.

Think it's for Behind the Scenes tours only. I had VIP tickets here in Chicago and they didn't even have the bridge set up. This was a Saturday. Went a second time on a Sunday and no bridge either. Thinking it's just set up for the Friday show since that's the only day they do Behind the Scenes tours.

I saw KURIOS twice in Toronto, at a Saturday matinee and a Friday evening, and both times the bridge was up.

Maybe they change the amount of days it's up per city.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6K9s0PGQ0U - this suggests to me that Kurios has indeed been filmed for DVD release.

Kurios' Banquine reminds me so much of Viva Elvis... I really wish they'd find a way to do a steampunk version of the Quidam choreography. It would be so badass.

I saw these same clips come out in April when the shooting was still in Montréal. Unfortunately, I don't think these are DVD clips, but just well-done B-roll clips.

Maybe it was filmed end of April in Montreal for the DVD?

Even with the Acro Net it just seems like way too much money was invested on just using this as a B-Roll.

I'm only supposing it's a B-roll because I've seen the same clips in commercials and news bits. I have to admit, I'm pretty confused about it too. I highly doubt Cirque would film it in Montréal as they've tried to stay away from doing so in the past due to the tendancy for changes to be made after the Montréal stop, such as the addition of the yoyo act, and changes to music, like Corteo, Dralion, OVO, etc...

A1 Federation: Maybe this one looks a lot like the Montreal one but it's from the Toronto premiere.

I'm very confident in the quality of this filming that it has been filmed. It's far too much money to spend for just a couple of promo videos. But we'll just have to wait and see :)

Regarding: Walking on the "bridge" during opening animation.

As a public service (LOL!) we at Fascination! Newsletter asked somebody in the know at Kurios publicity. Their information:

Requirements: Over 4ft in height, no heels, close-toed shoes only. (Safety first!)
Who to ask: There is an USHER who is given the job of recruiting folks. So you could ask the usher who seats you who that person might be. Or watch carefully for an usher taking people to the side of the stage.

As mentioned before, Kurios DVD was not filmed and there is no plan to do it so far.

Ok so after some light Instagram-stalking, I've come to the conclusion that the 4th contortionist has returned to Mongolia for 2 months and will be back for Costa Mesa!
