Saltimbanco 20 Unreleased Documentary

The first video was a short clip released in October 2013, today (October 2015) yet another short clip was posted online by Boleadoras artist Adriana Pegueroles; I am hoping that slowly the whole documentary will be released bit by bit!

it's a documentary that was done for internal purpose only, right at the end of Saltimbanco. It's interviews with creator of the shows and with artist during the 2 last performances of the show. It will never be release. It will never be release.

That is extremely depressing :( Saltimbanco was the first show I saw on dvd when i was 4 and triggered my love for cirque. Watching that clip of the Boleadoras did bring a little tear to my eye I must admit... Hopefully one day Cirque changes their mind, or at least show it as a keepsake memory to their most passionate fans (i.e. us on Cirque Spotlight)!

What is ZED forever? Is that also an unreleased documentary?

It's a bonus feature that came along with the artists' DVD of ZED after it closed.

House troupe does Chinese Pole's as the 'Lizards', Urban worms, and then become the Baroques for Russian Swing. Their characters undergo an evolution.

La Nouba, Corteo, Delirium, Ovo, Quidam, Totem, Saltimbanco, Immortal, Amaluna.

I'm not crying, you are crying.

I miss Saltimbanco so much, it was my first show under the Big Top and it was magical, from the singers to the characters, the bright colours, etc. I still think it was better than many of the current touring shows.

I would commit a myriad of felonies for those DVDs.

Actually I believe in Chinese poles they're "multi-colored worms" then become "masked worms" and then finally the baroques.

I never really thought about it as evolution (although I like that idea now!!!) I always thought that they were all different social classes, in keeping with the urban/metropolitan theme of the show...

There's nothing left, there's nothing right, there's nothing wrong...

All of the above is true. Lizards/multi colored worms. They have very reptilian and primal life instincts. Urban worms/Masked worms.

The colors and shapes of the stage were truly remarkable. And that chair :----) Before the arena tour rumors were confirmed there was another rumor that the stage would be cut into tiny pieces and sold as key chains? I wish that were real.

I was re-watching the X-FIles recently, the original season premiered in '93 and was based in Washington D.C. Scully mentions having a date and tickets to see Cirque du Soleil which had to have been Saltimbanco (which played DC in 1993) ;)

Hope Cirque 2016 has a creative stage design and not just round... Love the Saltimbanco set. When watching the show or the DVD, I was always scared that an artist would fall off at the point where the main stage and the rising backstage meet, it's so thin!

I love the stage design too. I like how if you look at it one way, it looks like interlocking circles and in another it looks like flower petals.

I'm sad they didn't just refilm the whole show, since it went through many changes since the DVD. Although, I would really like to see this.
