I haven't seen Volta and don't plan on remarking on it, but in terms of the 45 degree shows mentioned, I am fascinated by reflekt and clearly the audeince loves it too because its run is 100% sold out! If anyone finds a link to the full show, please let me know!

Danilla, Hair hanging artist, has a back up aerial hoop act if maybe she's not physically up to her hair act. I'd want my money back if Hair hanging was out of the show but she did hoops in Quidam so I'm sure her act will be top notch!

La Nouba, Corteo, Delirium, Ovo, Quidam, Totem, Saltimbanco, Immortal, Amaluna.

Any word on when is the soundtrack going to be released?

One thing I need to mention:

In Thomas Huebner's vlog about the filming of Volta, the singer said that the show will only get better and better, pretty much saying it's not at its best right now. I commented on that YouTube video and quoted him followed by, "I agree with what he said. It will get better, so I'm not sure why they chose to film the show for the DVD so early in its infancy."

That comment got a few upvotes for the first couple days it was on there. I noticed that comment is not there anymore so Thomas deleted it. I'm sure he agrees that the DVD was filmed way too early.

It's disheartening to hear that even the artists feel their work isn't being preserved in its best form.

Thomas posted a vlog about Volta's premiere in Gatineau. In the video he says that for the premiere shows in every city, they pull out all their best tricks and skills for that performance. So basically he's saying if you don't go to any of the premeires, you're not going to get the best show they're capable of doing. Sad they're inconsistent.

They perform different versions of the show all the time based on injuries, illness, rotation acts etc. in general the best shows with the most impressive acts and tricks occur on special occasions eg premier, last show in the city, if any celebrities are in house, full house, special holidays eg Christmas Day

Does anyone know where Wayne Wilson, (Shood Kood Wood) went? His clown act, which was hilarious (finally a funny clown act) has been played by Joe De Paul (clown from Dralion) lately. No complaints, just "Kurios" (Sorry, I had to).

Maybe he was just contracted for montreal?

As for performers not being 'consistant'. (Huge eye roll here...) Their typical act is what they can safly do any day of the week. All the tricks are more than less mastered and it's been validated for the performance. Usually off stage they are always exploring and experimenting with new material and tricks to bring in, they might be much harder so they don't do them in the show regularly because they're not perfected yet. Quidam's banquine would do the four person fly over for example.  For special shows like premiers or someone they know in the audience or a farewell show for a cast memember, they will usually do the special version of their act.

The Redbull series was filmed during creation a long time ago. It doesn't reflect the current state of the show.

Allxvita is right, a lot of the Volta videos Cirque is releasing was during creation. Even though this might make potential customers believe this will be included in the show, instead of not uploading the video all together, I believe they did because it took time and money to produce, so they released it anyway.

Not many audience will be observant enough to realise it's in the online vids but not the show so they still use the clips.

Dina Sok is part of the Shape Diving act in VOLTA.

Think of the Fire Within series & what happened with trying to teach Icarian Games to artists that hadn't done it before but they were also part of Slippery Surface. Possible a similar thing happened & it just didn't get to a level that they wanted.

Volta's getting a new singer in a couple of months! Alessandra Gonzalez (foremerly Zoe in Quidam) is leaving Kooza (as is Lisa M Ramsey) and is transferring shows soon.

A Volta singer is leaving already? Why so soon?

Okay, so like, I am freaking in LOVE with the soundtrack for this show. I don't know what I was expecting, but my expectations were exceeded. I do not think its the greatest album they've ever made (as some claim) but I find it to be a freshing addition to the catalog. I so cannot wait to see VOLTA in Tampa...where I plan to splurge on VIP seats.

The Bee and the Wind is my favourite. Tranquil and relaxing.

I loved Dancing Ants as well! Such a catchy and fun song. I also love Elevation, very moody and mystical sounding.

Elevation is like the best song I’ve ever heard from Cirque in a long time. I fell in love with it since Volta's premiere. The violins at the middle of the song and the progressions are celestial, plus Camilla’s vocals and the synths at the beginning OMG My absolute favorite from the album.

Hair Hanging is my new favorite act in a long time but it's song Elevation doesn't pull me in as much as I'd want. To clarify - Dancing Ants lyrics are cirquish, right? Because one or two words pass as English and it all just throws me off.

The VOLTA soundtrack is now also available on Freegal, a free downloading service subscribed to by many libraries.  Five free MP3 tracks per week - yes please!

Search for Cirque du Soleil (searching for Volta brings up a ton of Spanish-language titles).

Freegal sounds illegal. I'll stick with my paid Apple Music subscription.

It is indeed NOT illegal!  But it is for US public library customers only.

Yes, many US public libraries subscribe to the service, which allows downloading of 5 DRM-free MP3 downloads per week.  They actually pay for you to get free MP3's!  Wild, huh?

Most of the current (and some past) Cirque soundtracks there.  For free - legally!

I LOVE Inside Me. I'm a sucker for choreography to music that starts on a piano (by the way what act does this song go with?), so I'm sure whenever I see the show this song is just going to kill me. I'm also with Colton in that I cannot tell if Dancing Ants is in cirquish or not lol

ispeakcirquish: Well lucky you - the song goes along with the "Breakthrough" act which is literally just choreography of Waz dancing ;)
